The Holcomb’s

The Holcomb surname dates back to our first documented ancestor, Sir John de Holcomb, (1175-1270), who fought in the Holy land to bring passage for Christians in Jerusalem. For his courage in battle, King Richard the Lionheart knighted Sir John.

To this day, Sir John’s tomb can be viewed at Dorchester Abbey, Oxfordshire, England.
